Vacation . . . kind of

Today, I'm leaving to go visit my husband's family up north a ways. And if there's anything I'm looking forward to, it's a long car ride with a fussing toddler in the backseat.

I will attempt to be noble and tote my laptop with me and try to peck out some words while on the way, but probably what will happen is my battery will quickly die, I'll get frustrated and just decide to take a nap.

Not like this has happened before, or anything, though.

Then once I'm there, I get to hobnob with people I've only met twice in my married life (only three years, but still . . .). Yay!

This may sound like complaining. And . . . it is.

But hopefully I'll have some funny stories when I get back and--perhaps--some new inspiration for my next book.

While I may not be here over the weekend, I've scheduled some posts to go out (thank God I found that feature), so be sure and check back. And check often =)
