I love how people are always talking about how quaint cottages are. Where I live, if someone's trying to sell a run down, two or three room (including the bedroom) house, then they call it a cottage.
So--still in Regency mode--I did a search looking for "English Country Cottage" on Google Images.

Please tell me I'm not the only one looking at that and thinking I could fit my house in there two, maybe even three, times.
Oh to be a poor Englishwoman in the old days, who had to live in a "little" cottage.

LOl I was always puzzled when watching BBC period dramas where an old lady would complain about having to live in a small cottage when...it looked gigantic. Bewildering really.
